About Simon
- What kind of experience do you have?
I regularly teach one to one Double Bass and Electric Bass lessons privately in and around London. When I am not teaching, I am performing with my own project the Simon Read Octet as well as other bands such as the Matt Holborn Quartet and Manjula. I also have orchestral experience, playing in the touring orchestra of Young Opera Venture's production of Marriage of Figaro from 2012-14.

I am an experienced double and electric bassist based in London. I have a degree from Leeds College of Music in Jazz but am also experienced in playing Classical and Pop as well.

- How much do you charge?
£30 an hour
- Where do you teach?
Preferably will teach at home, but can travel within reason. Willing to travel around the North West of London (Harlesden, Wembley, Willesden, Brent Cross etc.)
- When are you available?
Mornings and afternoons of most days are preferable. I am very flexible with time, so I am sure to be able to fit you in at some point.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
Any age, beginners to advanced.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
I can prepare for any Associated Board or Trinity Guildhall exams. I can also prepare students for Rock School.
