I am a freelance trumpet player based in the London area and have had much experience teaching individual pupils of all standards, ensembles and leading workshops.

Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach both Trumpet/Cornet from beginner to advanced level as required, including grade exams, and doubling piccolo, C and D/Eb trumpets.
Although I can't provide instruments for students I do have a wide knowledge of suitable instrument makes and suppliers so please ask if you have questions!
Tell me about your qualifications.
I have 4 A Levels (Music - A, Music Technology - A, English - B, Maths - C), Guildhall School of Music and Drama BMus(Hons) Trumpet.
What kind of experience do you have?
I was a member of Bromley Youth Music Trust in Kent, where I played in various ensembles including Wind Bands and Symphony Orchestras and also played with the National Youth Orchestra. I freelance regularly in London as a classical and jazz musician, and perform with a very successful brass quintet Quintabile as well as a function band performing pop covers (Pandoras Jukebox). I have worked on education shcemes both with the Guildhall and with the London Symphony Orchestra, and have played with the Philharmonia Brass Quintet as well as sitting in orchestral rehearsals. I also play the natural trumpet performing baroque repertoire, and I have played trumpet for the Saracens rugby club.
How much do you charge?
I charge £25 per hour and £15 for a half hour lesson
I also offer consultation lessons on request, and am available to coach ensembles.
Where do you teach?
I am based in BR6, but can travel very easily within London and currently teach at student's homes.
When are you available?
I am generally very flexible so can teach during the day or after work hours, and at the weekend..whenever suits best!
Which ages and levels do you teach?
Beginner to advanced on classical trumpet and cornet, any age.
Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
I teach both Trinity Guildhall and ABRSM syllabuses, but if grade exams aren't for you then I am very happy to teach people who want to play for fun too!
Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?

Do you have a personal message for students?
People play for the love of the instrument, so performing and practising the trumpet should always be satisfying and enjoyable!
