I teach all styles of guitar, but specialize in classical. I can also teach basic theory and composition skills.

What kind of experience do you have?
I have been teaching since I was 15 years old and have a very structured approach to music and instrument training that has proved very effective over the years. I have been playing the guitar since I was 5 years old and have performed in public countless times as a soloist and part of ensembles. I was first guitarist in the National Youth Guitar Ensemble.
Competitions:
• 2001: First prize in the 12-18 year old guitar class at the Liverpool Festival of Music, Speech and Drama;
• 2004: First prize in both the under 18 guitar class and the Open composition class at the Wirral Festival of Music;
• 2006: Second prize in both the under 18 and Open guitar classes at the Wirral Festival of Music;
• 2006: Semi finalist at the Admira Young Guitarist of the World competition in Bath;
• 2007: Second stage winner of the BBC Young Musician of the Year competition.
• 2009: Winner of regional finals of Lions European Music Competition
• 2010: Finalist of the world famous Haverhill Sinfonia Competition
• 2010: Finalist of the prestigious RNCM Gold Medal Competition
How much do you charge?
I charge £30 an hour or £18 for half an hour's private guitar lessons. Consultation lessons are available. Group lessons are available. Theory and composition lessons are £18 for half an hour.
Where do you teach?
I teach in and around Streatham, London. I'm only willing to travel to students' homes if they live within 2.5 miles of my home (travel expenses not included). Students are encouraged to travel to my house for lessons.
When are you available?
I am available on the weekends and most weekday afternoons and evenings. Please get in touch to find out which day would be best for you.

I teach all ages and all levels.
Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
All ABRSM graded examinations.
All Trinity/Guildhall examinations.
Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
I do have a CRB disclosure certificate.
Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.
I have 24/7 access to a computer with internet. I have Sibelius 4 software and can send files and information via email. I also have a Facebook, Skype and Windows Live Messenger account for instant messenging and live talk with the student.
Where and with whom did you train?
I attended Junior Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) school from 2003-2005, where I was tutored by Wendy Jackson. I then attended Chethams School of Music from 2005-2007, where my tutor was renowned guitarist and teacher Gordon Crosskey. I graduated with honours from the Royal Northern College of Music as an undergraduate in 2011, where I was taught by world famous guitarist Craig Ogden.
Tell me about some of your current students.
I currently have 2 students, both beginners wanting to learn the basics such as chords, tunes and scales etc.
