In Search of Originality

In Search of Originality In terms of progressing pupils to improve GCSE Examination standards it is important to write and work closely with the pupil - mostly on past papers. Many pupils I work with begin with only moderate writing skills because they haven’t been trained to think clearly...

Student Testimonials
Thank you very much for tutoring my son for his GCSE English exams. He had his results yesterday and has done particularly well gettng an A for English Literature and a B for English Language. Considering he was predicted a C/B, we are delighted with the difference your input made. He found the support you gave him invaluable and he felt you picked up well on the areas he needed to concentrate on and that the manner and approach you took helped him feel relaxed and open to study. - C. Collins, North London
I have known Stuart since 2007 and I have found him to be reliable, trustworthy and professional. Stuart helped my son through his English GCSE and A-level. Stuart was patient and helpful and an excellent tutor who enabled my son to achieve the necessary grades. He is now studying for a degree in English. Stuart has a particular understanding of special eduational needs and was a great support for my son who is dyslexic. I would highly recommend Stuart as a tutor. (2.07.11). - Ms G Lunt, Islington, N1.
We asked Stuart for help with preparation for GCSE English...Stuart was familiar with the appropriate syllabus and identifed the issues quickly .He worked with my son in a very focused way tailoring the approach to strengths and weaknesses...From a B in his mocks we are delighted with the A* he achieved this summer. - Ms S. Leader. N London( Sept 2011)
Mr Riddle is an extremely competent tutor who is kind, warm and understanding of the pressure of exams on his pupils . He developed strategies which suited my son`s style and taught him techniques which helped him develop his writing skills. - A. Corrigal, N. London (Sept.2011)
He is very effective and experienced tutor. He helps me to plan, write and proofread my essays. He is very goog at paraphrasing...that makes the original meaning clearer.. Also he is very approachable, friendly and professional...I Could never have achieved without his assurance and expertise.(Oct 2011) - Gabriele Lagrotteria , Undergrad- Hertfordshire University-Education Studies
Without Stuart's help I would not have got into King's. He guided me through material I previously found mundane and irrelevant. He has opened my eyes to the world of literature and broadened my horizons, and shown me how it is relevant to my study of politics, as it allows me to gauge different viewpoints and voices. He brings his experience from his career at Cambridge to show me how to engage effectively with exams questions, and answer them to get the best grades that I use to this day. Dec 2011 - Areeb Ullah
