Personal Message
All my students love coming to their piano lessons! They learn and create wonderful music in an encouraging environment that takes learning seriously at the same time.
Which subject(s) do you teach?
Teaching the Piano is my number 1 and only subject.

I coach students of all ages including the very young and adult beginners to advanced pianists who are diploma standard and beyond.
I can additionally teach the Grade 5 Theory exams as well as Aural training.
Tell me about your qualifications.
MMus - Masters 1st Class Distinction in Performance, University of London, Goldsmiths College.
BA(Hons) and ARCM, Royal College of Music.
What kind of experience do you have?
I have been teaching for over 15+ years, preparing my students for grade exams and music scholarship entrance exams.
Additionally I am a concert pianist with a specialist repertoire in contemporary piano music giving regular performances and making recordings.
How much do you charge?
Based on my experience, I charge £45 for a one hour lesson (please note that I am not a strict clock watcher so you will have a generous amount of time).

For younger students and those who are beginners or between Grade 1 to 3 in standard I would recommend a half hour lesson at £22.
Where do you teach?
I run my teaching practice from my home.

Under some circumstances I am able to arrange tuition outside of my home by a teacher other than myself who assists me.
When are you available?
Flexible, it would be best to discuss this on the phone or via email.
Which ages and levels do you teach?
All ages and standards from beginners to post diploma level.
Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
All grades and performance and teaching diplomas.
Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
Yes I have an up-to-date CRB disclosure certificate.
Do you belong to any professional organisations?
Musicians Union
Where and with whom did you train?
As well as studying piano at degree and post graduate level, I would say that my biggest influences have been two piano teachers who are currently high profile performers, Stephen Coombs and John Tilbury. I have also taken Masterclasses with Rostropovich and Artur Pizarro.
Do you have a personal message for students?
Playing the piano has really opened up such an exciting world for me, I really hope that I can foster this love for music with each of my students.
