Please see below my biography:

Tereza Anna Privratska (born 1988 in Prague, Czech Republic) has been playing the violin since she was four. Her first teacher was Magdalena Mickova, later, at the Prague Conservatory of Music (secondary school), she became a student of Jindrich Pazdera, a famous Czech violinist and violin teacher. In 2010 Tereza finished her BMus degree at the Royal Academy of Music in London taught by professor Maurice Hasson, and currently studies her Master programme at the same university with Jack Liebeck. Besides her solo violin study, she is the first violinist of the string quartet (Jubilee Quartet) at the Royal Academy.
Tereza won several national and international violin competitions. In 1997, 1998 and 2002 she participated in Kocian International Competition, Czech Republic, in 2000, 2001, 2003 she won the international competition in Slovakia, The Talents for Europe. In 2004 she was selected to participate in Yehudi Menuhin International Violin Competition in London, U.K.

Tereza has good concert experience, including performances like duo with Josef Suk and Prague Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra in Prague Rudolfinum, a performance with another famous Czech violinist Vaclav Hudecek and orchestra Barocco sempre giovane, Prague, Karolinum in 2008, numerous performances abroad - with the orchestra Archi di Slovakia (Slovak Rep.), opening concert at the International Competition “Talents for Europe” (April 2005, Slovakia); concerts in United Kingdom, Germany, France; and solo and trio performances at the California Summer Music Festival (Pebble Beach,U.S.A.). The utmost achievement was her performing at the prestigious Prague Spring International Festival where she was invited to give a recital in 2008 (with piano accompaniment Matej Arendarik) .
She participated in many masterclasses, e.g. Summer Courses for Violin Players, Písek, Czech Republic (1995-2005); Pro Corda Courses of the National School for Young Chamber Music Players, Leiston Abbey, Suffolk, England (2002, 2003, 2005, 2006);
Summer Master Course of Milan Vitek (Oberlin, U.S.A.) in Litomysl ( 2004, 2005);
participation in Master Classes (during the festival “Genius of the Violin”) of Eric Gruenberg, Donald Weilerstein, and Maxim Vengerov; recently of Thomas Brandis, Alexander Pavlovic and Sylvia Rosenberg, and Vaclav Hudecek; masterclasses of chamber music: Miguel da Silva (Ysaÿe Quartet) and Hatto Beyerle (Alban Berg Quartet). Tereza regularly performs at festivals such a Touches of Music and Podblanicky Podzim, Czech Republic.
What kind of experience do you have?
I usually give private lessons, I am happy to help with preparation for grade exams.
How much do you charge?
The usual charge is 35 GBP, or 25 GBP per half an hour. If you are interested in 2 lessons a week, we can set a cheaper rate.
Where do you teach?
At my house or the student's house.
When are you available?
I am sure we can find a suitable time for the student!
Which ages and levels do you teach?
I am happy to teach students of any age and abilities.

Where and with whom did you train?
I have been playing the violin since I was four. From 2006 I studied my BMus degree with Maurice Hasson at the Royal Academy of Music in London and was awarded full scholarship. At present I study Master of Music degree with Jack Liebeck at the Royal Academy of Music. Besides my solo violin study, I am the first violinist of the string quartet (Jubilee Quartet) at the Royal Academy of Music. In 2009 I received my Licentiate of the Royal Academy of Music and National Institution to be qualified as a violin teacher.
