Personal Message: I am an ex professional opera singer with The Welsh National Opera Company. My first love of teaching singing is for classical music, Trinity/Guildhall Singing Exams ,
Which subject(s) do you teach?: I teach Singing.
Tell me about your qualifications.: Associate of The Royal College of Music.
What kind of experience do you have?: 4 years training at The Royal College of Music in London. Ten years in The Welsh National Opera Company. 18 years private teaching and 4 years in schools.
How much do you charge?: £25 per hour. £10 consultation lessons. Group lessons £5 for each student. Children under 12 years of age £15 per hour. Travel expenses 40pence a mile.
Where do you teach?: Mostly teach at home. Nearest town is Banbury. I live in a tiny village of Shutford.
When are you available?: Everyday of the work except Monday as I teach in a school. Also willing to teach during school holidays and week ends.
Which ages and levels do you teach?: 10 years of age and over. Beginners, intermediate and advanced.
Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?: I teach Associated Board and Trinity/Guildhall singing exams.
Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?: Yes, I do have a CRB disclosure certificate.
Where and with whom did you train?: Trained at The Royal College of Music in London.
Tell me about some of your current students.: Three students successful at performing in musical theatre. Quite a few passed grading exams. Associated Board and Trinity/Guildhall.
Do you have a personal message for students?: Most students when they arrive for their consultation lesson are understandibly very nervous, but I will always make a new student less nervous and more confident.
