Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach English as a Foreign Language (EFL), English literature, Philosophy, and essay writing at all levels.
Tell me about your qualifications.
I hold a Cambridge CELTA for teaching EFL, as well as a Masters in English literature from University College London. I also hold a BA in English with a Philosophy minor from Hunter College at the City University of New York.
What kind of experience do you have?
In addition to my academic degrees and teaching certificate, I have worked as an Administrative Assistant for a small New York based consultant firm, and as Event Photographer for the UCL Student Union. For more information about my work history, please have a look at the CV I've uploaded here.
How much do you charge?
The first lesson is half price!
Where do you teach?
I can travel to your home or meet you at your school or library. I live near Euston Station, so transport is easy for me.
When are you available?
My work schedule is flexible at the moment, so any time convenient for you!
Which ages and levels do you teach?
All ages, from young learners to adults.
Do you have a CRB disclosure certificate?
I have never had one, but would if required.
Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.
I can use either an instant messaging program or Skype to tutor online. I can also get a webcam if necessary.
Where and with whom did you train?
I earned my CELTA at St. Giles College in Highgate, London. At St. Giles I was able to observe experienced EFL teachers at all levels, as well as teach my own Pre- and Upper- Int. classes. It was an amazing four weeks, and I would recommend the course to anyone interested in EFL teaching!
