Personal Message: I am a friendly and enthusiastic Clarinetist and Saxophonist based in Manchester. I am able to teach people of all ages and abilities in performance or theory.
Which subject(s) do you teach?: Clarinet, Saxophone, Piano, Recorder and Music Theory. I can teach classical or jazz and for fun or more seriously working towards graded exams.
Tell me about your qualifications.: I am currently entering my fourth and final year at the RNCM studying for a BMus(Hons), having gained a scholarship to continue my studies at the RNCM for an MMus from Sep 2012. I have LRSM Clarinet Performance Diploma with distinction, Grade 6 Piano, Grade 7 Saxophone, Grade 7 Recorder and Grade 6 Music Theory.
What kind of experience do you have?: I have experience in a number of different kinds of teaching. I have taught privately for a few years as well as having experience in conducting wind sections and coaching orchestral clarinet sections.
Performance wise I have performed with the Halle, Sinfonia ViVa and Liverpool Sinfonia amongst others.
How much do you charge?: I charge £25 p/h and £12.50 for half an hour. I am able to travel and expenses would be calculated based on distance.
Where do you teach?: I am able to teach from my home in Manchester or at pupils' homes. I am willing to travel to surrounding areas of Manchester including but not limited to Oldham, Rochdale, Bolton, Stockport.
When are you available?: I am absolutely flexible and can teach during the day and evening during the week and weekend.
Which ages and levels do you teach?: I teach all ages and abilites.
Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?: I hold an enhanced CRB disclosure certificate.
Do you belong to any professional organisations?: I am a member of the ISM.
Where and with whom did you train?: I studied at the RNCM with Nicolas Cox, Chris Swann, Linda Merrick and John Bradbury.
