- Classical Guitar
- Tell me about your qualifications.
- I have a BMus(hons) degree from the Royal Northern College of Music and I am currently studying for my masters degree at The Royal Academy Of Music in London.
- What kind of experience do you have?
- I have been learning the guitar for 17 years and have been teaching for the last 6. Before moving to London I was a peripatetic guitar teacher for the music trust Berkshire Maestros where I taught over 150 pupils a week, ranging from absolute beginners to university standard.
- How much do you charge?
- I currently charge £20 for half an hour and £30 for an hour however the pricing can vary depending on travel arrangements.
- Where do you teach?
- I can teach from my home as well as travelling throughout London.
- When are you available?
- I currently have space on Tuesdays and Thursdays, however days can be negotiated.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
- I can teach all ages and abilities.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
- I can prepare my pupils from Trinity Guildhall exams or ABRSM exams.
- Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
- I currently have an up-to-date CRB.
- Where and with whom did you train?
- I was awarded a scholarship to study at the Purcell School of Music with Roland Gallery before learning with internationally renown guitarist Craig Ogden. I am currently studying at the Royal Academy with guitar professor Michael Lewin.
- Do you have a personal message for students?
- My aim in teaching is give informative, well structured and enjoyable lessons to whoever wants to learn. Through carefully thought out lessons, and with good practical learning experience, I believe I can help anyone learn the guitar to an enjoyable standard.
