Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach Violin and Piano on a one-to-one basis (using English or Chinese) and also prepare students for ABRSM Grade Exams 1-8.
Tell me about your qualifications.
I began my first violin and piano at the age of three. In 2002, I entered Shanghai Conservatory of Music and received a Bachelor of Music Degree in violin performance in 2006.
In 2001, I was awarded the Fourth prize in China National Violin Competition in Wuhan Conservatory of Music. In 2004, I obtained the Third prize in String Quartet Competition of Yan-Dang Mountain Music Festival. In August 2005, I performed with the Youth Orchestra of Shanghai Conservatory of Music to attend the 'Young Euro Classic' competition in Berlin and was also chosen by Seiji Ozawa to take part in 'Ongaku-juku' (Seiji Ozawa, music, opera performance privately run project) to perform Rossini ‘Barber of Sevillein’ in Tokyo, Kyoto, Hiroshima, Osaka, Nagoya and Nagasaki, Shanghai, Beijing and Tianjin.
In 2007, I was one of the only four Asian students who were admitted by the String Department of the Royal Academy of Music in London for Master Degree. During two years study with the world renowned violinist Hu Kun, I obtained Master Degree in Violin Performance and LRAM Violin Teaching Certificate in July, 2009.
In May 2009, I was invited by Fito Paez, one of the most popular singers in Latin America, to compose and perform an arrangement for his song “Nocturno en Sol” in Union Chapel, London. I was also invited to record songs for Fito's new CD (Sony BMG).
From 2009 to 2010, I taught violin in London Arts-Academy and later was invited by London Schubert Players as a second violin assistant to perform several concerts in Venezuela Embassy in London. In the same year, I have worked regularly with the Orchestra of St Paul's, for concerts in Covent Garden, London.
In July 2010, I performed for Sky Arts Channel as a violin soloist at the Royal Festival Hall and also chosen by the City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong as a second violinist in Sep 2010.
What kind of experience do you have?
As a fantastic violinist in performance, I also had more than 10 years teaching experience. When I studied at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music and Royal Academy of Music, I helped lots of students to prepare for the Grade Exam and also went to Junior School of the Royal Academy of Music to help violin tutors to teach group students.
After having graduated from the RAM, I am a violin professor at the London Arts Academy.
How much do you charge?
I gave free trial lesson and charge £40 per hour.
Travel expenses are all included in the fee
Where do you teach?
I teach in my studio in South Ken and I also can travel to pupils homes.
When are you available?
I am very flexible about times of lessons. The only limitations would be the time which I have already booked by other students. In fact, I can give lessons on any day of the week from 9.30 am to 10.00pm.

Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
Obtained my CRB check in November 2009.
Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.
I can teach online on skype or MSN (online fee to be negotiated with the student)

Where and with whom did you train?
From 2007 to 2009, I obtained the Master Degree and LRAM Teaching Diploma at the Royal Academy of Music.My violin professor at the RAM, Hu Kun, was the only private student of Yehudi Menuhin. Lots of his students were prize winners in the International Violin Competitions. I had lots of Masterclass with so many distinguished violin professors in the world, Pinchas Zukerman, Zvi Zeitlin, Aleksandar Pavlovic, Thomas Brandies,Tokyo String Quartet.
From 2002 to 2006, I studied at the prestigious Shanghai Conservatory of Music, the oldest Western-oriented music school in China.
