- Which subject(s) do you teach?
- I teach oil painting, acrylic painting, pencil drawing and charcoal drawing across a wide range of subjects. This can be within the framework of GCSE, A-level, Degree or Adult Education / Hobby. I am also able to give help with project work, portfolio building, developing ideas, essay writing, research and art history.
I offer well structured courses as well as individually tailored programs of tuition - this not only makes the lessons well planned, but enables the student / parent to envision what the lesson will include and how much time will be involved. This also gives the opportunity to greatly reduce their hourly costs by paying for the needed hours in advance at a discounted rate. - Tell me about your qualifications.
- I have a First Class Honours Degree in Fine Art.
- What kind of experience do you have?
- I have been tutoring on a one-to-one basis since 2005, teaching a wide range of people of various backgrounds, interests and levels. I also run a painting course for experienced painters at my local college and also have experience in running a life drawing course. I also have additional experience as a trained and practicing phonics tutor for both children and adults.
- How much do you charge?
- I charge £35 per hour for all levels except GCSE which I charge at £30 per hour. I then give discounts for hours paid in advance as follows:

10 hours £315 (10% discount) £31.50 per hour
20 hours £595 (15% discount) £29.75 per hour - Where do you teach?
- I usually teach at my home studio in East Grinstead, Sussex (very near the train station). I can also travel to other locations within Sussex, Surrey, London and Kent: Forest Row, Crawley, Haywards Heath, Lingfield, Oxted, Tunbridge Wells and all London areas with underground zones 1 & 2.
- When are you available?
- I am available within the following times (depending on bookings):
Thur 930am-330pm & 7pm-930pm
Fri 930am-6pm (fortnightly)
Sun 1pm-930pm - Which ages and levels do you teach?
- I cater for GCSE, A-level and Degree as well as Adult Education / Hobby at all levels from absolute beginner advanced.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
- GCSE, A Level and Degree Art
- Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
- My last CRB check was carried out in 2005.
- Do you belong to any professional organisations?
- I am registered with IfL (Institute for Learning).
- Where and with whom did you train?
- I did my degree at the University of Sunderland.

- My students currently range in age from 11 to 50+.
