PGCE - What kind of experience do you have?
- 18 years (current) teaching in the leading independent School in Norwich.
15 years examining for OCR, AQA and EDEXEL
15 years of very successful Private Tuition. - How much do you charge?
- I charge £35.00 for GCSE level and £42.50 (per hour) for AS/A level tuition per hour. This includes lesson preparation and marking of work (included in the lesson fee). It also includes email support between lessons. I am also happy to teach for 30 minute slots at a rate 65% of the hourly rate. I have also taught for 1.5 hour or 2 hour slots on a fortnightly basis - this is particularly useful for those students who live quite far from Norwich and therefore have a long journey. I am in constant touch with my tutees via email and we both find this a huge additional help along the way. Being one of the most experienced tutors in this area I have taught many students from all over East Anglia.
- Where do you teach?
- I am happy to teach at my own home or at your own home. (if this is further than 2 miles then travel costs will have to be separately arranged).
- When are you available?
- I am available at weekends and during holiday time. Flexiblity is required. I have been privileged to be a teacher for 18 years now and really love seeing how I can make a difference to a young persons pathway into university and life.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
- I teach GCSE, AS and A levels to any age students who require it. I have also taught many adults who are re-entering part/full time study.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
- GCSE, AS and A levels.
- Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
- Yes. This can be shown and a copy provided.

Exeter University - St Luke's College - Tell me about some of your current students.
- I teach a wide variety of students. Male / female students of all ages but mainly current school students. I also teach many students who go on to study at the top universities in the UK. I have taught all levels of ability to private students and they have always achieved what they wanted to achieve.
I teach students who are following all the 3 main exam boards - AQA, OCR and Edexcel. My resources are numerous and my experience in all three is substantial. - Do you have a personal message for students?
- I approach my tutoring with a professional and organised manner. I will expect you to show commitment, be motivated and to complete any work that I set between lessons. I like to build a well directed and focused rapport with my students but hope to set a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. I will also coach you in all the important methods of study skills, exam technique, preparation and practice. I also have an endless bank of past papers, resources and books that will help you along the way. The aim is to coach you so that you can achieve your potential, to build your own confidence in this subject and in all other exams in general.
