- HOW KUMON WORKS AT THE EASTLEIGH STUDY CENTRE
I offer both Kumon English and Kumon maths at Eastleigh. The vast majority of children at Eastleigh study both programmes given that maths and English impact every other subject at school. I run the Eastleigh Centre on the following basis:
First Meeting - Testing Your Child's Ability in maths and English
I would test your child by using a simple diagnostic test. The results of this test would help us identify where your child should start on the Kumon programmes and at a pace, which suits your child's capabilities.
Daily Worksheets in maths and English
Once tested I would then provide your child with an individualised programme of worksheets to complete at home on a daily basis (amounting to a manageable piece of work each day).
Up to Twice Weekly Visits to the Eastleigh Study Centre
Critical to your child's success will be attending the Study Centre either on Wednesday afternoon and/or Saturday morning on a drop-in basis. Attendance would give me the ability to observe your child completing their worksheets and thereby provide me with an opportunity to encourage, support and guide your child as well as provide feedback on work completed. - Ages and Levels Covered

Get Ahead of School
Many of the children at the Eastleigh Study Centre are tackling Kumon work that is anywhere between six months and two years ahead of their school age. This in turn can help them flourish in maths and English at School as well as across the rest of the curriculum.

YOUR CHILD'S ROUTINE AT THE EASTLEIGH STUDY CENTRE
Once enrolled your child will attend my Centre at least once a week. Here they will complete a set of worksheets under my observation. Your child would soon get into the following routine at the Centre:
• Arrive at class
• Collect class folder
• Hand in homework
• Collect homework for the following week
• Undertake in-class worksheets
• Submit worksheets for marking by me or by one of my Kumon assistants
• Whilst worksheets are being marked undertake supplementary activities available at the Centre designed to support your child's current Kumon goals
• Once worksheets are returned marked, complete any corrections and submit for remarking
• Before leaving the Centre your child will receive feedback on in-class and recent homework worksheets. - Special Offers
