- I have been a teacher for many years and I help people to understand their Maths and I also enable people to take part in a conversation in French.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
- I teach Maths to GCSE level and French to any level.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
- I have a degree from London University in Maths, French and Psychology.
I also have a Post Graduate Certificate of Education - What kind of experience do you have?
- I have taught in Secondary Schools in England for over twenty years and I have also taught in an Engineering College in France.
Currently I have my own business tutoring in Maths and French. - How much do you charge?
- My fees are £20.00 per hour for individual Maths tuition.
For individual French tuition I recommend only 30 minutes, as it is requires more sustained concentration. My charge is therefore £10. Should there be people of a similar level in French, I would consider a group of up to 3 students. - Where do you teach?
- I teach at the home of my students and I travel to Salisbury twice a week to give tuition, although the majority of my students are in the Southampton area.
- When are you available?
- I am available Monday to Friday at any time of the day.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
- I am able to teach Maths from Year 6 to GCSE Year 11, as well as 11plus.
In French, I am able to teach French conversation from a complete beginner to complete fluency. - Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
- I have several CRB certificates. I currently help support Maths at Kings school in Fair Oak.
- Tell me about some of your current students.
- Currently I am tutoring students for this year's GCSE Maths Papers. They are of varying abilities and all develop confidence with my tuition and support, finding that Maths is at last attainable.
As for French I am teaching adults to be able to hold a conversation, when they previously have found this impossible. Now they find it so much easier, they are amazed. - Do you have a personal message for students?
- I am able to help you finally understand your Maths and, if you wish to hold a conversation in French, I can help that happen as well.
