Refresher courses - Tell me about your qualifications.
- I have a Diploma in Education and the PTLLS level 4 teaching qualification
- What kind of experience do you have?
- I have many years of experience in working with children, young adults and teaching.
I have worked in the Montessori School in Munich, then lived in Hamburg where I worked with School children, helping them learn, before I came over to England. Here I have taught German for school, University as well as Business and German for traveling for several years. - How much do you charge?
- My current base rate is £30 per 60 min. for students for a 1 to 1 lesson. I recommend each lesson to last 1.5 hours (£40). This includes traveling to your home or a specified place within Milton Keynes and some surrounding areas (I add £0.40 for any additional mile outside my 5 mile radius).
I also teach from my home in Tattenhoe.
The rate also includes teaching materials, such as worksheets and preparation time for the lessons (books are not included but can be provided)
Price for 2 to 1 lesson £30 per person per 1.5 hour lesson. Additional student + £10. Please contact me for more details.

- I teach in Milton Keynes and some surrounding areas, such as Bedford, Cranfield, Olney, Newport Pagnel, Northampton depending on area.
Other areas please inquire.
I add £0.40 fro any mile outside my 5 mile travel radius. My total travel radius is appr. 15 miles from MK4 3EL
I also teach from my home in Tattenhoe, Milton Keynes and have a teaching room available for group lessons. - When are you available?
- From 9.30 - 14.00
and from 16.00 - 19.30 weekdays. Weekdays and term time only unless otherwise agreed. - Which ages and levels do you teach?
- All ages and all levels. Simple.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
- GCSE, AS level, A level, University
- Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
- Unfortunately I do not have an up to date CRB certificate as it is difficult to apply for a CRB check as a self employed individual.
- Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.
- I am currently trialing online tutoring, please inquire.
I offer proofreading for homework, coursework, emails, essays etc. which you simply email me and I email corrections back. - Do you belong to any professional organisations?

- Tell me about some of your current students.
- I have a 100% success rate for my GCSE students who completed their German lessons with me. They all passed their exam, some with A, or even A*.
I am also teaching Business German, one of my clients is a gentleman who required "survival German" for the office in Switzerland where he works 3 days a week.
Another recent client is a lady in her 60s who wanted to refresh her German, that she learnt many years ago and thought she all forgot. She can now hold a conversation in German, traveled to Austria to stay with friends and used her German successfully there. She is really enjoying learning and is now taking a GCSE exam as a private candidate. - Do you have a personal message for students?
