Which subject(s) do you teach?
I primarily teach Mathematics at a wide range of levels and have been doing so for a number of years. Whilst most of my students are preparing for either SATs or GCSEs, I also offer tuition to A-level students, including those studying Further Maths.

Although most of my students receive tuition in Maths, I also teach secondary education Science (up to and including GCSE). These lessons are provided on an ad-hoc basis, generally focusing on one particular subject within the Science curriculum.

Tell me about your qualifications.
I hold a Masters degree in Mathematics and am happy to provide further credentials on request.

What kind of experience do you have?
I have been tutoring for 4 years since leaving university. In that time I have tutored several GCSE and A Level maths students through formal examiniations. In my experience, this tends to be primary reason for hiring a maths tutor.

In addition to exam preparation, I also teach a number of younger students whose parents want to consilidate their KS2 maths before starting secondary school.

How much do you charge?
My current rate for a GCSE level lesson is £25 per hour, although I may charge for any reasonable traveling expenses if the lesson takes place at a student's home.

A-level rates start at £25 per hour, also subject to any additional travel costs.

Adult rates vary as the nature and level of tuition tends to vary from person to person. However, the cost of a single lesson will not exceed £20 per hour.

Where do you teach?
I am happy to teach either at my home or students' homes. I am based in Kingston-upon-Thames and am willing to travel to most surrounding areas to teach.

I currently teach (or have previously taught) in the following locations: Surbiton, Sunbury, Hampton, Ashford, Staines, Leatherhead, Fetcham, Bookham, Kingston and Walton.

When are you available?
My tuition is very flexible and I offer most evenings and weekends. If you are interested in a regular lesson time this can usually be arranged at time of booking.

Which ages and levels do you teach?
I teach from Key Stage 2 to first year undergraduate. I also offer tuition to adult students.

Do you have a CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
No.

Do you belong to any professional organisations?
I am a student member of the Institute of Actuaries.
