- I want to help students to get the right answers, but also to understand why each answer was correct. I think this is the only way to begin trusting your own judgment. I am patient and can work at whatever pace the student needs.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
- I can teach English, maths and science from KS1 up to GCSE and philosophy up to A Level. I can also coach students for 11+ and 13+ exams and provide help and guidance with essay writing.

BA (International) Hons. Philosophy (First Class) - What kind of experience do you have?
- During my philosophy degree I offered tutoring to other students on my course who were struggling with readings and essays. After graduating, I wrote a column for an online magazine, where I interviewed people about their professions. I have also written features for Time Out, Leeds Guide and London Confidential, and presented a philosophy paper at the 2009 BUPS conference. I have worked a lot with children - as a tennis coach, a baby-sitter and a nanny - and also volunteer as a young person's writing mentor at The Ministry of Stories.

No charge for travel - Where do you teach?
- I can teach at home (Alexandra Palace/Muswell Hill, North London) or at the student's house. Areas covered include Crouch End, East Finchley, Highgate, Hampstead, Islington, Camden, Kentish Town, Tufnell Park, Dartmouth Park, Regents Park. I can travel to these areas plus anywhere in London zones 1 + 2.

- Monday-Friday 2pm-8pm
Saturday-Sunday 9am-6pm - Which ages and levels do you teach?
- I can teach children aged 5-18, depending on subject.
