Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach digital media and illustration (both digital and non-digital).
Digital media consists of web design (Dreamweaver), animation (Flash), Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign.
My illustration tutoring encompasses all disciplines including editorial, sequential, advertising, and publishing as well as illustrating for the web.
Tell me about your qualifications.
Graphic Design (Illustration) BA (Hons)
DTLLS (PGCE) – Having successfully completed the first year, I am currently embarking on my second year of this teaching qualification.
PTLLS (Level 4)
What kind of experience do you have?
I worked for 12 years in advertising agencies in central London before setting up my own illustration and multimedia business 8 years ago. I also teach part-time at SCOLA (Sutton College of Lifelong Learning for Adults), Sutton.
How much do you charge?
I charge £25 p/h plus travel expenses (a flat rate of £5 - £10 depending on distance). If more than one student is to be taught at the same time, the additional student is charged @ £15 p/h.
Where do you teach?
Lessons take place in the student’s home on their own equipment.
When are you available?
I am available 9am to 6pm Monday to Friday. Please contact me to discuss your requirements.
Which ages and levels do you teach?
I am happy to teach all ages and abilities and my only requirement is enthusiasm!

Yes, since September 2008.

Where and with whom did you train?
I studied Graphic Design (Illustration) at the University of Brighton under the tuition of George Hardy, John Vernon Lord, Andrew Kulman and Andrew Restall.
Tell me about some of your current students.
I have recently completed teaching a year long accredited course in digital imagery, web design and animation (Level 2) and various short courses in Flash and Dreamweaver. The students were of varying ages and abilities. Many are now applying for further courses.
Do you have a personal message for students?
I am very enthusiastic about the creative industry and my mind is open to individual styles, needs and approaches. I encourage students through positive reinforcement and am a very supportive and patient tutor and tailor the lessons accordingly. My illustration work has been recognised within the industry and have recently been highly commended in the Cheltenham Illustration awards.
