As a teacher I believe it's important to create a positive environment to learn in.
Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach piano, cello and music theory.
Tell me about your qualifications.
I attained my Bachelor of Music in Cello Performance from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand and then did my post graduate studies for a Kunstlerische Ausbildung in Cello at the Staatliche Hochschule fuer Musik, Trossingen in Germany. I also have ABRSM Grade 8 Piano with Distinction.
What kind of experience do you have?
I have 10 years experience in teaching both piano and cello. I have taught from ages 4-62. I have experience in group teaching, such as running workshops, as well as individual. I mostly work with young children and teenagers but also enjoy working with older pupils
How much do you charge?
I charge £30 per hour
Where do you teach?
I teach throughout London and am happy to travel to students homes.
When are you available?
I am available throughout the week and on the weekends.
Which ages and levels do you teach?
I teach from age 4 upwards. I am comfortable teaching from beginner to advanced levels.
Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
I can prepare students for exams or just for fun. It's up to the students.
Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
I have an enhanced CRB check.
Do you have a personal message for students?
I think it's really important that as a learner of an instrument you have faith in your abilities and that they are fostered.
