- Personal Message
- I have been playing the Clarinet and Piano both since I was seven-years old. Until summer 2011, when I left school having completed my A-Levels and Cambridge Pre-Us, I was a music scholar at Charterhouse School.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
- I teach Clarinet and Piano.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
- Clarinet I am Grade 7, and Diploma standard on piano.
- What kind of experience do you have?
- I have experience teaching clarinet and piano to children from the ages of six to eighteen. I also have experience of teaching piano to adults just starting off on the instrument. I like to think that I understand children's musical requirements very well because it wasn't so long ago that I was a child starting off on the clarinet and piano myself. I am good at making lessons fun and accessible.
- How much do you charge?
- I charge £15 per 45 minute lesson plus expenses for travel, though I do teach from home too.
- Where do you teach?
- I teach from home in Fulham (Hammersmith / Earls Court borders) but I can also travel to anywhere in South West or Central London or Surrey.
- When are you available?
- I am flexible and can teach after school (evenings), or at weekends.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
- I mostly teach young people ages six to16, but I also teach adults beginning to learn piano/clarinet. I specialise in beginners.
- Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
- I do not have a CRB Certificate. However, I only stopped legally being a child just over a year ago.
- Where and with whom did you train?
- I was a music scholar at Charterhouse School in Godalming, Surrey.
- Do you have a personal message for students?
- As a teenager myself, I understand what it's like to be a kid learning to play an instrument. I remember vividly my first piano and clarinet lessons with an over-serious and uninspiring teacher. After nearly giving up, I became musically inspired by a young teacher who made music fun. It is my mission to carry on that tradition - and make learning the clarinet or piano, fun and inspiring for you or your child. I also want my lessons to be an inexpensive outgoing for you.I have therefore made my lessons as competitively priced as possible (£15 for 45 minutes).
