Bachelor of Music 1st Class Honours (From Trinity College of Music)
ABRSM Grade 8 Percussion - Distinction
ABRSM Grade 8 Piano - Distinction
What kind of experience do you have?
I have 3 years experience teaching individuals and larger groups of all ages and abilities.
How much do you charge?
I charge £30.00 per hour. Half hour lessons can be arranged for £20.00.
Where do you teach?
I teach at home in a dedicated music room; I have a top of the range Drum Kit, Vibraphone and Upright Piano along with a sound system/computer. I am also able to travel to students' homes.
When are you available?
Weekdays are best, however, I have a flexible timetable and can work around students.
Which ages and levels do you teach?
All ages and abilities.
Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
Yes.
Where and with whom did you train?
I studied Vibraphone with Jim Hart and Roger Beaujolais and Classical Percussion with Ian Chopping. I studied Drum Kit with Dave Wickins and Gene Calderazzo and Piano with Simon Purcell and Simon Brown.
Tell me about some of your current students.
I play Vibraphone in Empirical, Clark Tracey's Sextet, Holler, Treehouse and my own group. I also work with American singer Melody Gardot. I play Drums in a variety of musical situations.
Do you have a personal message for students?
I am an approachable and patient teacher. I believe that everyone has an innate curiosity for music that can lead to a passion, when encouraged and inspired.
