Practical/Performance: Saxophones, Guitar, Vocal coaching.

Academic/Theory: Composition, Music Theory, Music (from young musicianship to GCSE and A level), English (up to GCSE).


Tell me about your qualifications.
Academic:

I studied Music at Oxford University and received a First Class Honours in my BA. I graduated in 2010. My modules included History, Analysis, Composition, Orchestration, Film Music, The Beatles, Ethnomusicology and Musical Thought and Scholarship.

A Level - Music (A), English (A), Italian (A), Art (A)
AEA - English (Distinction)
GCSE - 10 A*s (one of the top 5 Edexcel marks for Music GCSE in the country)

Instrumental Qualifications:

Saxophone - Grade 8 Distinction (2007)
Singing - Grade 8 (2007)
Oboe - Grade 8 (2007)
Music Theory - Grade 8 (2007)


What kind of experience do you have?
I gained initial work experience as a classroom assistant and music teacher at St. Barnabas and St. Phillip’s Primary School (2007), and have had experience teaching the saxophone whilst studying Music at Oxford.

Since graduating I have been a member of Blue Tutors, through which I have had experience teaching music academically.

As a saxophone player and musician I have practical experience through years of playing and study. I am currently persuing a career as a singer-songwriter and performer and I currently write and play in three bands: my own band project, Scarlett In The Wilderness (on soprano sax), and Alamakota (on soprano sax).

I have had experience singing as part of my Choral scholarship in the world-renowned Queen's College Choir, Oxford, and from singing in the international-award-winning a capella group Out of The Blue for two years.


How much do you charge?
£30 per hour


Where do you teach?
I am currently unable to teach from home but am more than happy to travel to students' homes in London and Greater London to teach.


When are you available?
My timetable is very variable, but I am generally free weekday afternoons and evenings and on weekends.


Which ages and levels do you teach?
I am happy to teach a broad range of ages and abilities.


Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
I do not have a CRB certificate.


Do you belong to any professional organisations?
I am a Level 3 member of Blue Tutors tutoring agency.
