- Examples of recent/ongoing assignments:
- I am working with a 7 year old student, aiming to improve her ability to concentrate for longer periods of time and encouraging her to further her imagination in story writing.
- I am presently focusing on creative writing, descriptive writing and grammar with a 9 year old student. - Do you have a personal message for students?
- Confidence is key in all academic study, at all levels. I strive to inspire my students to have confidence in what they do. I create a fun and interactive environment to nurture the child’s potential. Each student learns in a unique way so it is my job to tailor my approach to suit their needs.
I encourage my students to outline what it is they would like to achieve in a session and then, after the tuition, ask them to give notes to themselves on how they feel they have progressed. As well as highlighting their strengths I encourage them to make sense of the areas of study with which they struggle, in their own words. I find that their identifying these weaknesses allows them to find a way to make sense of a problem and move on with greater ease.
