Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach classical flute, piano and music theory grades 1-5.

Tell me about your qualifications.
I am post grade 8 /diploma standard on flute and have attained grade 8 flute with distinction and passed DipABRSM. I currently am a student at the Royal College of Music.

What kind of experience do you have?
I was a student at the Chetham's School of Music in Manchester for 5 years and at Chetham’s, I had numerous performance opportunities, as well as competition experiences with the British Flute Society, National Flute Association in America and at regional level. For chamber music experiences, i have played in RCM Philharmonic Orchestra, Chetham’s Symphony Orchestra, Sinfonia Orchestra, Wind ensemble, Flute quartet, Flute trio, Wind Quintet, Wind dectet and duet with a guitar. Iw as in the National Youth Chamber Orchestra of Great Britain for two years, directed by Christopher Hirons. From NYCO, I was selected to play with the Aurora Orchestra at the BBC proms conducted by Nicolas Collon.

How much do you charge?
I charge Chamber Music £20.00/hr Flute £25.00/hr Music Theory Exams £20.00/hr Piano £15.00/hr I am happy to travel but at a potential extra cost to cover expenses.

Where do you teach?
I am based in West London. I am happy to travel to students' places within Zone 1 and 2 without any extra travelling charge. For Zone 3 and beyond an additional small fee to cover the travel cost will be added. My closest tube station is Ravenscourt park or Shepherds Bush.

When are you available?
I can teach mostly during the day time and evenings (both weekdays and weekends). My free times are quite flexible depending on the performance and rehearsal engagements I have.

Which ages and levels do you teach?
I teach flute at all levels and to all standards. The youngest student I had was 7 years old and oldest was 25 years old! I love to teach any ability from absolute beginner to grade 8 standard. I only teach piano and Music theory from absolute beginner to grade 5 standard.

Where and with whom did you train?
My first teacher was Min Park who was a pupil at Chetham’s School of Music and graduated from The Curtis Institute of Music and Royal College of Music. I studied with Linda Verrier for 5 years at chethams and now in her 1st year at Royal College of Music, studying with Katie Bedford. I have attended master classes with Rachel Brown, Katherine Bryan, Simon Channing, Paul Edmund-Davies, Marc Grauwels, Jamie Martin, Mike Mower, Andrea Oliva and Ransom Wilson etc. I also attended a few music courses called ‘Seoul International Music Festival’, ‘Flute Kitchen’ and had classes with Paul Edmund-Davies, Elizabeth Buck and Greg Pattillo.In Canada, I attended a summer course ‘Domaine Forget’, where I had a masterclass with Emmanuel Pahud and studied with Marie-Andre Benny and Denis Bluteau.

Do you have a personal message for students?
I am a young friendly, enthusiastic and approachable teacher who loves teaching students from all ages and abilities. Whatever level I am teaching at I aim to make lessons enjoyable, valuable and fun :)
