- Approachable, creative and experienced English tutor. I know my stuff and I'm ready and waiting to give you a hand to reach your full potential.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
- I teach English Literature, English Language, Drama and Theatre Studies. I also coach for Drama School Auditions.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
- I have a BA Hons (2.1) in English and Drama from The Universiity of the West of England, Bristol. I then went to Drama school where I gained a Post-Graduate Diploma in Professional Musical Theatre from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. Alongside this, I attained a MA in Theatre Studies and Performance from The University of East Anglia. Plus I have 10 A*-C GCSEs and 3 A-C A Levels from Shenfield County High School.
- What kind of experience do you have?
- I have worked as a freelance Teaching Assistant in mainstream primary and secondary schools and I have lots of informal experience tutoring students for GCSE and A Level English. I also have taught and directed 5-18 year olds in numerous drama schools around London and Essex.
2 of my A level students have recently received A*s in their English coursework! - How much do you charge?
- I charge £20 per hour for Keystage 1, 2 and 3, and £25 per hour for GCSE and A Level students and vocal/drama coaching. There may be a small additional fee to cover travel costs in some circumstances. Reduced rate consultation lessons and a generous discount for lessons booked in bulk!
- Where do you teach?
- I am very flexible with location. I have a cosy little flat in Wanstead, East London where I teach from, alternatively, I am more than happy to travel all over London and Essex - wherever is most convenient for you.
- When are you available?
- I am currently available to tutor Monday - Friday anytime before 7pm.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
- I teach all ages and abilities up to A Level. I also coach for Drama school entry auditions degree and post-graduate courses.

- Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.
- I can mark emailed past papers, set practice questions and use skype.
- Do you belong to any professional organisations?
- Yes, I am a member of Equity - the trade union for Actors.
- Do you have a personal message for students?
- I'm approachable, understanding and easy to get on with - and, dare I say it, I'm up for making things a weeny bit fun! In my experience, if you look forward to a session, you'll get so much more out of it. I've got lots of experience with essay writing and analysing literature - I know my stuff and love what I do. I'm the kind of tutor that you can trust to get down to business and get you to reach your full potential. Every single one of you are different, so I tailor my sessions to what suits you. So whether you need a bit of help polishing up what you already know, or need more specific attention... let me give you a hand!
