- Personal Message
- I believe that inspiring pupils and motivating them to learn for themselves should be done alongside helping them to achieve their academic potential.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
- I teach Drama, English and History. My specialist interest is text analysis.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
- PGCE Drama (University of Chester) MA Performance (Drama Center) Acting Foundation (LAMDA) BSc Economic History (LSE)
- What kind of experience do you have?
- I am currently a Drama Teacher at Wirral Grammer School for Girls and tutor Drama and English to A level. I was a full time drama teacher at a sixth form college from September 2011 to March 2011. I was Head of Drama at The Elfed School from January - June 2011. I have worked as an actress for several professional theatre companies.

- All levels and ages to A level.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
- I prepare students for many different exams from common entrance to A level.
- Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
- Yes
- Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.

- NUT.
- Where and with whom did you train?
- I trained as an actress at LAMDA and Drama Centre after which, I did my PGCE training at The University of Chester. I gained a 2:1 in Economic History from LSE prior to attending Drama School.
- Tell me about some of your current students.
- I recently tutored a student who improved from a D to an A* in a resit exam after a few sessions. I currently tutor several pupils, some of whom need help with exam preperation and some who are preparing for Drama School.
- Do you have a personal message for students?
- Since Drama mirrors life and the human condition it is readily accessible by young people , however this may not translate in an exam! I would like anyone who is interested in the subject to furfill their potential and obtain the acedemic grade they are capable of. I base my tutoring on three main principals. 1. INDIVIDUALISED PROVISION I would like to improve your weakness, weather this is essay structure, written expression or understanding a character role function. 2. ENERGY AND PACE I am an energised and motivating however I believe that through explanation of key principals is key to a student furthering thier potential. 3. TUTORS ARE FACILITATORS I believe that a good teacher can be really helpful , however I encourage my students to take ownership of thier work and form their own opinions; to have the courage to express their ideas articulately!
