- Which subject(s) do you teach?
- I teach Maths (KS2, 11+ Entry, KS3, GCSE Foundation and Higher Tiers, IBGCSE, A level in Core 1-4, Free standing Matematics Qualification, Basic Skills, Functional Skills), Statistics (S1 and 2), IB (Year 12 and 13), Verbal and Non Verbal Reasoning.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
- I graduated in Applied Maths (former USSR) in1979 and gained a PGCE in Secondary Maths Ed (Hons) in the UK (University of North London) in 2003.
- What kind of experience do you have?
- I have 11 years of experience in a space research project overseas at which time I tutored students at the university level.
I taught in a state secondary school from 2003 and worked part time as a private tutor. Three years ago I became a lecturer in Maths at Southgate College, still working part-time as a private tutor. My former students are studying a variety of degrees in UCL, Oxford, Bath, Bristol, Queen Mary Universities as well as students of selective schools (Latymer, City London, Henrietta Barnet, Winchmore School, Haberdashers' Aske's Estree). - How much do you charge?
- My fee is £25 per hour without extra charges for short distance journeys (subject to agreement). I teach on a one-to one basis only. My experience proved it to be more successful as it gives me flexibility to reflect students' needs. I don't see consultation lessons as a necessity as I discuss all particularities with parents on the phone/email and usually start straight away.
- Where do you teach?
- I teach the majority of my lessons at home. However, I will travel (up to 5 miles from N14) if necessary. My house is between Southgate, Oakwood and Cockfosters Stations (Piccadilly Line) and has a number of bus routes nearby (125, 299, 298, 398, 304, 121).
- When are you available?
- I am available from 17:00 to 21:00 weekdays and from 9:00 to 21:00 during weekends and holiday periods.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
- My students are from 9 to 32 years of age.
- Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
- Yes, it is valid.
- Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.
- I'm contactable from 17:00 till midnight and can book individual sessions if necessary. Usually between these hours I also provide full support to my students helping them with their work at home and emailing to parents on their requests. Unfortunately, I am not contactable before 17:00 as it may clash with my full time work commitments.
- Tell me about some of your current students.
- One thing I am very proud of is that I tutor two or three children from the same family or related families; I also continuously teaching students through 11+ Entry Exams and KS3, or through GCSE to A levels.
I would like you to read some of the messages written by my former students:

Dear Tonia,
GOOD NEWS - Michael has been given a university place at Hertfordshire University to study for a degree in Economics. Once again, thanks for all your help with his Maths, I don't think he could have done it otherwise. I would not hesitate to recommend you to any friends looking for a Maths tutor.
Have a lovely summer.

Hi there, sorry for the late reply. I was on holiday, went to Mauritius for a couple of weeks to do work experience in a dental clinic. I got an A in maths! 2A's and 2B's overall. I was so surprised and so happy!! Thank you very much for all your help, I couldnt have done it without you! I'm not sure if I will be carrying it on next year as I found out that I do not need it to do dentistry, and that they prefer rounded subjects rather than just 3 sciences. Thank you once again! Take care and regards to Ron.

The grades AAB, were enough to fill my offer for the University of Bath for accounting and finance, which hopefully starts on October the 1st this year.
Anyway, me and my mum would like to thank you very very much for helping me get the sufficient grades otherwise I wouldn't have been able to fulfill my offer which asked for specifically an A in maths, also I've recommended you to one of my friends who's very interested. I'll send you the details soon.
Thanks a lot

Dear Mrs Antonia
I hope you are well. I would like to share my A-level results with you. I achieved an A in maths and in all my subjects. I was also accepted by Imperial collage. Thank you for all the help.
Enjoy the rest of the summer.
