- I am a freelance teacher, musician and sound designer, with a first class BA (hons) in Music Technology.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
- I teach maths, science (especially physics), music technology and Spanish. I teach many different aspects of music production, theory, performance and recording.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
- I graduated from the University of Huddersfield with a 1st class BA (hons) in Music Technology. I have A-levels in Maths, Physics and Music Technology, all to grade A, and an A in A/S-level Music. I have 8 A*'s, 2 A's and a B at GCSE.
- What kind of experience do you have?
- I currently have 7 students, from a 10 year old who is studying for her 11+, through GCSE Maths and Science students, to A-level Physics and Music Technology students. I also teach percussion and electronic music composition on a less formal basis.
I have taught music (particularly Indian music) in schools with children of different age groups, from nursery right through to GCSE. - How much do you charge?
- Generally I charge £30 per hour. This rate will be reduced for lessons that are longer than one hour, e.g. £40 for 1.5-hour and £50 for 2-hour lessons.
- Where do you teach?
- I am based in Homerton, Hackney, East London. I am happy to travel to most parts of of North & East London.
- When are you available?
- My timetable is quite flexible. I am happy to work evenings and weekends in addition to weekdays
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
- I can teach any age. I have experience teaching Key stage 1,2 and 3, GCSE, A- and A/S-level. I also have experience working with young kids, right down to the age of 3.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
- SATs, school entrance exams (verbal/non-verbal reasoning also), GCSE, A-level
- Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
- Yes.
