- It doesn't matter what age you are, or what ability you do or don't have, my aim is to get you playing and excited about music. I also offer tuition in Maths.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
- I teach Saxophone, Clarinet and Piano. As a jazz musician with regular gigs, my instinct is to teach with a slightly more contemporary and edgy feel. We can work within a grade structure (for example ABRSM grades 1-8), without or a mixture of the two
I teach general Jazz over any instrument - interpreting chord progressions, improvisation, tonal control etc.
I also offer tuition in Maths-based subjects - I did a Maths degree - Tell me about your qualifications.
- BSc (Hons) in Maths from Warwick University
Several Grade 8s in musical instruments. - What kind of experience do you have?
- Ex-player with multi-award winning Big-Band MYJO
Working Composer for tv/film/games (www.jamesmorris.org.uk). Credits include Iron Man: Armoured Adventures and The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes - How much do you charge?
- Standard fee is £13 for 30 mins, £24 for an hour
Book 9 hours of lessons and receive the 10th free (10% discount) - Where do you teach?
- For music, best results at my home in spacious music room (plenty of tea+coffee for accompanying parents), but flexible

Jazz: Beginner to Professional
Piano: Beginner to Intermediate with focus on getting you to a point where you can sit and play the songs that you want to play from chords
Maths: GCSE to Degree with focus on developing problem solving techniques to help with other subjects too - Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
