- What kind of experience do you have?
- I have experience teaching all ages and abilities, from beginner to advanced (post grade 8). I am currently teaching for the Berkshire young musicians trust.
Private Tuition Experience - 6 years
My experience also comes from being an active musician / performer. I have worked with many of the top UK jazz / session musicians including Clark Tracey, Peter King, Mornington Lockett, Don Weller, Gerard Presencer, Julian Seigal, Mark Lockheart, Mark Knightingale, Mike Bradley, James Taylor (Quartet). I have performed at many of the well respected London venues including, Ronnie Scott's, Pizza Express Jazz Club Dean St, Jazz Cafe Camden, Pizza on the Park and 606 Club Chelsea.
I am currently a member of various different bands including, The New Clark Tracey Sextet, The London Neophonic Orchestra, The Tom White Sextet and The Tom White Septet. - How much do you charge?
- £30 an hour at my premises in Kew or Datchet, Berkshire.
£40 an hour at your home (may be less depending on travel expenses) - Where do you teach?
- At my premises in South East London / Datchet, Berkshire.
I'm also prepared to travel to most places in London and Berkshire, including Richmond, Twickenham, Earlsfield, Clapham, Kingston, Slough, Windsor, Staines, Egham and most of the greater London area. - When are you available?
- Mornings and afternoons / early evenings are preferable, but most times if I'm available.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
- From 8 years old upwards.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
- I can help students prepare towards concerts, graded exams (ABRSM / Trinity Guildhall) and auditions to schools and music colleges.
