- I am a friendly trumpet player in the Southbank Sinfonia. I have a BMus(hons) and MMus from the Royal Northern College of Music and Grade 8 trumpet, percussion and piano.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
- I teach people of all ages and abilities. I can teach all brass instruments, Piano and Theory. I can teach classical or jazz for fun or to work towards grades, it is entirely up to the pupil.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
- I have a Bachelor of Music and Masters in Music from the Royal Northern College of Music and grade 8 trumpet, piano and percussion.
- What kind of experience do you have?
- I have experience in all kinds of teaching. I have conducted beginner and adult brass bands, coached orchestral brass sections and taught pupils on a one to one basis. I have a 100% pass rate with my pupils who have worked towards grades.
- How much do you charge?
- Lessons are £25 for one hour or £15 for half an hour. I am able to travel, expenses would be calculated based on distance.
- Where do you teach?
- It is best for me to teach at a student's home and am willing to travel and teach in all areas of London and beyond. I can also teach at my home in Dollis Hill.
- When are you available?
- I am entirely flexible and can teach during the day or in the evening on weekdays or over the weekend.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
- I teach all ages and all levels.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
- I am able to help students prepare for grades from the ABRSM and Trinity college. I can prepare students for success in both the classical and jazz disciplines.
- Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
- I have enhanced CRB clearance.
- Where and with whom did you train?
- I trained at the RNCM and received tuition from Gareth Small, John Miller, Jamie Prophet, Tracey Redfern and Murray Greig. I have been fortunate to experience some of the best instrumental tuition in the UK and am eager to pass on what I have learned to other people.
- Tell me about some of your current students.
- I taught all of my current students from scratch. Some were able to read music before I met them, others have learnt with my help. I teach a mixture of children and adults some of whom are working towards grades and some who are simply learning for pleasure.
