Tell me about some of your current students.
In my GCSE maths group, I have several students who have been diagnosed with dyslexia. They are adults who wish to improve their maths and/or use the qualifications to further their careers. The GCSE classes are actually revision classes which means the pace can be sometimes fast. All my dyslexic students, regardless of the pace manage to keep up and are still on the course. This is because I always provide materials for students at what ever stage they are in their learning. This helps to bridge the gap in their knowledge. I provide these materials as class wrksheets or homework. I have some students in the group who are sitting the highrer tier paper, so I have quite a cross section of students to support.
Do you have a personal message for students?
I am a committed tutor with years of experience and commitment to my pupils' learning development. At our first meeting, we will have a brief chat and a short assessment task so that I can get to understand your needs and how we can move on effectively with the tutoring sessions. As your tutor, it is important to me that you enjoy and look forward to the sessions. I plan and provide highly tailored sessions designed to meet your needs. The benefit of one-to-one tuition is that learning is delivered at the pace that suits you. You will become a more confident learner.
