Which subject(s) do you teach?
I am able to teach Piano (Jazz, Soul, Funk, Blues), Composition (especially Pop and TV Music), Theory (Jazz and Classical), and Music Technology (Logic, Cubase, Sibelius + more).

More specifically, I can help you work on aspects such as improvisation, advanced harmony, and mixing techniques.

We can learn for fun or work towards grades.

Tell me about your qualifications.
I have a 1st Class BA Hons in Music from the University of Durham, and have completed a summer Jazz programme with the prestigious Manhattan School of Music. I have also studied privately with tutors from the Guildhall and the Royal Academy.

What kind of experience do you have?
Playing the Keyboard, I have had the opportunity to perform with some of the best session musicians in the business - this has included the band members of Stevie Wonder, Prince, Amy Winehouse and more. I have taken to the stage all over the UK and also in Jazz Bars, Clubs, and Restaurants as far afield as Japan, Korea, and Australia.

As a Composer I have had my work used on the BBC, ITV, and at Theatres across London.

How much do you charge?
£25 p/h at my house
£35 p/h if I travel to you

Where do you teach?
I teach at my house in Stoke Newington (N16) and am able to travel to the following: Dalston / Hackney / London Fields (E8), Clapton (E5), Highbury (N5), Islington (N1).

When are you available?
Flexible - Available both daytime and evenings depending when is convenient for you.

Which ages and levels do you teach?
Kids and Adults - anybody that is keen to learn!

Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
Yes

Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.
The more theoretical aspects of music tuition can be taught online via Skype.
