Tell me about your qualifications.
Having recently graduated with First Class Honours from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, I am now studying towards an MMus qualification on the Guildhall School of Music and Drama Artist Programme in Performance. I have two dip(ABRSM) qualifications - one in oboe performance and one in oboe teaching. I also have grade 8 oboe, clarinet, piano and singing.

What kind of experience do you have?
I have been working as a music teacher for three years. I have been teaching private students in Cardiff, as well as volunteering as a music teacher at Kampala Music School, Uganda. Beyond this I have for three years worked as an auxiliary assistant for the Junior Music and Access Studies department at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, where I was a classroom assistant for theory, musicianship, chamber coaching and choral classes. I have experience teaching students from 7 to 50 and am also able to teach students whose first language is not English.

I am also a very experienced performer, having worked for the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, Orchestra of Welsh National Opera, Sinfonia Cymru and Welsh Session Orchestra. I was at age 19 the youngest ever appointment to the Welsh National Opera Placement Scheme.

How much do you charge?
A Level Music £35/hr, all others £30/hour (including travel expenses)

Consultation (first) lessons at £25/hr for A Level, £20/hr for others.

Where do you teach?
I teach at pupils' homes in East/CentralLondon, and to NE/SE and West on negotiation. Nearby areas of London to me include Leytonstone, Leyton, Wanstead, Walthamstow, Woodford, Stratford, West Ham, East Ham, Poplar, Bow, Hackney and Islington.

When are you available?

Which ages and levels do you teach?
I can teach from aged 7 to senior citizens, from beginner to advanced.

Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
ABRSM examinations including diplomas, GCSEs, A Levels or for fun!
