Please feel free to contact me for a informal discussion.
Which subject(s) do you teach?
Maths and Physics, both to GCSE and A level.
Tell me about your qualifications.
I have a first class degree in Physics and A levels in Maths, Physics and Chemistry (all grade A).
What kind of experience do you have?
I have been tutoring for 4 years and currently have over 20 students.
How much do you charge?
£23 per hour for GCSE, £28 per hour for A level. If I travel to you there will be an additional charge to cover travelling expenses.
Where do you teach?
I tutor from my home in Liss but can also travel to you (travel expenses would apply). The area I cover includes Liphook, Haslemere, Midhurst, Bordon and Alton. I also offer online tuition (see below) to conduct the tutorial whilst you are sitting at your computer at home.
When are you available?
Generally weekdays up to 6pm but I can sometimes accommodate other times. Please feel free to discuss this with me.
Which ages and levels do you teach?
GCSE (years 10 and 11) and A level students. I have also assisted adult learners.
Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
Maths GCSE & A level and Physics GCSE & A level.
Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
I hold an up-to-date enhanced CRB check.
Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.
I also offer online tuition using Skype and a shared interactive whiteboard to conduct the tutorial whilst you are sitting at your computer at home. The whiteboard supports text, freehand and maths equations and symbols. You can download Skype and the whiteboard application for free (it's very quick & easy). I also offer a free half hour online session to get set up and for you to see how it works. Click on the link to my website above for more details.
Do you belong to any professional organisations?
I have been a member of the Institute of Physics since 1998.
Where and with whom did you train?
I went to the University of Surrey where I got a first class degree in Physics.
Tell me about some of your current students.
I have several school GCSE students who have been struggling with maths and lost confidence. When they come for lessons they are generally surprised to find that the maths isn't as hard as they thought and that they can do it! I also have many A level students, some come to support their work at college whilst other are re-taking certain modules in which case I am able to devise extra practice and provide past papers.
