I achieved a first in the education and teaching modules I studied as part of my undergraduate Chemistry degree. This included planning and delivering lessons at a local school during a 20 hour placement.
Currently, I deliver and supervise classes of GCSE and A level students in a portable, practical laboratory module, called Spectroscopy in a Suitcase.
Tell me about some of your current students.
My current students inlude GCSE/A level students taking their exams for the first time or resitting, undergraduate degree students, mature students taking A levels to change careers and even primary school children. My students feel supported in achieving their goals, whether it be exceeding beyond their current predictions, passing a resit, or just getting to grips with a concept they've been struggling with.
Do you have a personal message for students?
I know my subjects very well and have a wealth of experience explaining and teaching them to students of many levels. Students should feel confident in that they will make real and tangible progress through my lessons and this will be reflected in their examination/assessment scores. My first language is English, although subject depending I may be able to arrange tuition in Cantonese. Please feel free to contact me about any queries you may have.
