- I'm an experienced, friendly and reliable tutor, with experience of SEN and disabilities, learning mentoring and NLP. I have a specialism in music from over 20 years as a musician. I enjoy passing on my knowledge to children and adults.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
- English and literacy skills for adults, songwriting, singing, violin (up to grade 5), vocal coaching, study skills (to HE level), mentoring including SEN/ASD/disabilities (adults & children).
- Tell me about your qualifications.
- BA Hons Commercial Music, ITA Diploma in NLP, BTEC National Diploma in Music Technology, LOCN Certificate in Notetaking for Students with Disabilities
- What kind of experience do you have?
- I have 6 years experience of working with students with various disabilities, including mental health issues, SEN and ASD. I've held roles in FE and HE, as Head of Singing (BTEC music) and Module Leader/Visiting Lecturer (degree level music). I've also worked as a journalist and in a corporate bank and I currently work as a freelance composer when I'm not teaching.
- How much do you charge?
- My rates are £15-30 per hour, with a 20% discount for a 5 lesson booking (payable in advance). I charge an extra £5 to cover travel, if outside of the Ealing area. I can offer a trail 30 minute session for teaching violin/singing at the discounted rate of £10 in Ealing.
- Where do you teach?
- I teach at my home and at students' homes in the Ealing/Brentford/Acton/Hammersmith area, or within an 8 mile radius.
- When are you available?
- Evenings: Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Afternoons: Thursday, Friday. Saturday, Sunday. During university/school holidays I am available all day/evening on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
- I teach all ages from 5 to adults, depending on your needs or subject.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
- Grade 1-5 Music Theory, Grades 1-5 Singing, Grades 1-5 Violin
- Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
- I have an enhanced CRB each year through Randstad.
- Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.
- I use Skype for online tutoring but I can arrange other online services if necessary.

- Tell me about some of your current students.
- I currently teach songwriting and music theory at Middlesex University on the Popular Music degree course as a visiting lecturer. I also teach some adults in Ealing, who are learning some basic and intermediate singing/violin techniques for stage performance and also just for fun!
