I believe that one to one tutoring is important to determine the achievements and find out the points that the student struggles with.
Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach maths at primary level and science, especially biology, at all levels. I used to teach in KS1-KS3 maths classes, KS3 science classes and have one to one AS level biology and degree level students. I have also had one to one maths and science students, so I believe that I will be able to provide the necessary expertise and support in science and maths.
Tell me about your qualifications.
BSc Biomedical Sciences - University Of Kent
MSc Cancer Cell & Molecular Biology - University Of Leicester
PhD Molecular Oncology - King's College London
What kind of experience do you have?
I worked in a private education center in London, Edmonton Green, called Oxford Academy for 6 months and I have been working as a private tutor since 2004.
How much do you charge?
The prices are as follows: KS1-2 £20, KS3 £22, 11+ exams £22, 13+ exam 23, GCSE £24 and AS/Degree level £25 per hour. There will be a 15% discount for group lessons.
Where do you teach?
I can teach both at my own place or at student's house. I leave in Aldgate and I work at London Bridge so basically I can teach in Central and East London. I also don't mind traveling to other parts of London.
When are you available?
I am free on the weekends all the time and weekdays after 5pm
Which ages and levels do you teach?
I have experience of teaching age groups between 5-47 which includes all levels from primary school to university.
Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
BSc, GCSE, AS/A Level and diploma.
Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
Yes.
Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.
I will provide PPT presentations with all hints, as well as word documents full of questions and detailed information. I will also offer hour long sessions via Skype and students can always contact me via e-mail.
Tell me about some of your current students.
I currently have a KS3 maths student, a degree level student and an AS level student.
Do you have a personal message for students?
Teaching is an inherited characteristic in our family! My father is a maths teacher and he was the one who first attracted me to the field. My personal goal is to be an academic, so I strongly believe that I have the patience and desire to train students in science and maths! I can't wait to meet you!
