- Which subject(s) do you teach?
- I teach piano up to grade 8, music theory, and composition.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
- In 2010, I graduated with a 1st in English Literature/Music from Canterbury Christ Church University, and went on to complete a Masters in Music (Composition) - awarded with merit - the following year, also at CCCU. I also hold Grade 8 Piano & Grade 5 Theory (ABRSM) qualifications.
- What kind of experience do you have?
- I have been teaching for roughly two years to a number of beginner & advanced students, both privately and in schools. As a pianist, I have performed both solo and with ensembles including CoMA London and the CCCU Scratch Orchestra. In the role of accompanist, I have played for numerous recitals & auditions.
- How much do you charge?
- £22 per hour, or £12 half an hour. Free consultation.
- Where do you teach?
- Happy to teach across Canterbury/Thanet area, either at home or at pupils' houses. Also regularly in St. Mary's Bay, so would be happy to teach pupils based in or around Folkestone, Hythe, Romney Marsh and Lydd.
- When are you available?
- Folkestone/Romney Marsh: weekends (usually Sat, though negotiable). Canterbury & Thanet: Mondays, weekends, or evenings preferred.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
- All ages; happy to teach performers up to grade 8 standard.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
- All ABRSM/Trinity grades, GCSE/A Level/University performances.
- Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
- Yes - up to date as of Jan 2012.
- Do you belong to any professional organisations?
- ISM member.
