- My aim is to provide inspiring and enjoyable lessons for people of all ages and levels.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
- piano and theory
- Tell me about your qualifications.
- I have grade 8 in piano and flute, a music degree from Lancaster University, and a DipABRSM
- What kind of experience do you have?
- I have 7 years teaching experience and currently teach approximately forty pupils, of varying ages, abilities and interests. I also play professionally for wedding ceremonies and receptions.
- How much do you charge?
- I charge £16 per half hour lesson.
- Where do you teach?
- At my home in Bruntsfield. the piano room is large, comfortable, airy and well-equipped. Parents are very welcome to sit in during lessons, or if you prefer there are some very nice coffee shops nearby where you can relax for half an hour.
- When are you available?
- I have some availability during weekday evenings and afternoons. There is more flexibility during mornings and lunchtimes.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
- Children are invited to start from the age of 7, and adult beginners are also most welcome.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
- For those pupils who wish to take grade exams I will put them forward for either ABRSM or Trinity college syllabuses. The two syllabuses are slightly different and therefore appeal to different styles and strengths.
- Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
