- I am a teacher of Clasical Singing with a great deal of knowledge in the 'bel canto' Italian school and the modern application of it.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
- Singing, Piano, Musical Theory, Acting, Theatre Studies, Theatrical Directing, Orchestral Conducting, Choral Conducting, Public Speaking. I also run 'Choral Clinics' and can help your choir to sing better.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
- I have a music degree from London University and post-graduate training in the opera school of the Royal College Of Music.
- What kind of experience do you have?
- I have sung principal roles at most of the UK opera houses and in the West End. I have taught singing at Oxford University, The University of Otago New Zealand and have given master-classes in singing and theatre widely in the UK and abroad.
- How much do you charge?
- My basic rate is £45 for an hour lesson. Group lessons are possible also if they can be arranged, the fee divided.
- Where do you teach?
- I am happy to travel to your home or teach at an acceptable venue. Hire of a studio would have to be spilt between us but I know many good rate studios near home and in Central London. I am based in Bromley, Kent. but am happy to come to any part of Central London or South and South East London. Croydon, Sutton, Eltham, Chistlehurst, Petts Wood, Orpington, Grove Park, Hither Green, Lewisham, Beckenham, Sydenham.
- When are you available?
- I am available at almost any time by arrangement. There are very few fixed dates that are not possilbe.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
- I am happy to teach anyone over the age of 11. I have great experiance of teaching trebles. Adults who want to improve their singing.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
- All Music exams and entrance exams
- Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
- I have an up to date CRB.
- Do you belong to any professional organisations?
- I am a member of Actor's Equity.
- Where and with whom did you train?
- I trained at Trinity College London and then at the Royal College of Music.
- Tell me about some of your current students.
- I have students in west-end shows, students at music college and I mentor others abroad with a view to entering the London conservatoires.
- Do you have a personal message for students?
- Singing is the best thing to do for yourself. Whether you are interested in taking it far, just for fun or for confidence building, you will never regret singing lessons.
