I am a first study French Horn player, second study pianist, studying music at the University of York. I have a wealth of experience from teaching individuals and small groups of students to whole class tuition.
Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach French Horn, Piano, Music Theory, Trumpet, Cornet, Tenor Horn and Baritone.
Tell me about your qualifications.
I am currently studying Music at the University of York.
ABRSM Grade 8 French Horn, Piano and Music Theory.
A* Music A-Level.
What kind of experience do you have?
I have a variety of relevant experience from teaching individuals and small groups of students, to whole class brass and world music tuition through the Wider Opportunities scheme.
How much do you charge?
£20 per hour plus travel expenses.
£10 per half-hour plus travel expenses.
Where do you teach?
Primarily Heslington, York, although I would be happy to travel to local towns and schools.
When are you available?
My schedule varies from day to day so I can be quite flexible in finding a time that suits the pupil's requirements. Generally, I am available during the week and at weekends.
Which ages and levels do you teach?
I am willing to teach all ages from beginner to advanced levels, whether they want to work towards exams or just learn for fun.
Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
If students wish to take exams, I would follow the ABRSM (Associated Board) syllabus.
Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?

Where and with whom did you train?
I am currently a first study French Horn player studying at the University of York with Max Garrard.
Do you have a personal message for students?
My aim is to share my passion for music with others, whether that be absolute beginners, advanced musicians or somewhere in between. If you want to work towards exams then I would be more than happy to support this, but I am equally happy to teach those who just want to learn for fun.
