Trumpet playing - beginners to advanced - Tell me about your qualifications.
- GRSM - (Graduate of the Royal Schools of Music);
ARCM (Trumpet Teaching).
PGCE - (Postgraduate Certificate in Education - Secondary Music) - What kind of experience do you have?
- Twenty years experience of teaching Music at GCSE and A-Level in secondary school education;
Twenty five years experience in Trumpet teaching;
Twenty years experience in conducting and directing school music productions (operas and concerts);
I perform regularly as a free-lance musician. - How much do you charge?
- I charge £30 per hour, or pro rata; plus a flat rate of £5 for travel expenses if travel to a student's home is involved.
I am happy to teach half-hour or 45 minutes where appropriate for trumpet lessons - Where do you teach?
- I teach at home in Twickenham - nearest station is Whitton (Soutwest train service). I am willing to travel to within a 10 mile radius eg Tiwckenham, Richmond, Hammersmith, Hounslow, Ealing and Kingston.
- When are you available?
- All week days - between 08.30 am and 19.30 pm - (till 17.30 only on Wednesdays).
Saturday lessons available by arrangement.
Adult students are also welcome.
Also available, by arrangement, for revision and coaching during school holidays - Which ages and levels do you teach?
- Age 14 - adult for GCSE and A level Music;
All ages for Trumpet playing.
All ages for Music Theory, Composition, and elementary Piano/Keyboard skills - Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
- Yes.
