- I'm a Trumpet player, teacher and composer living in London, just about to finish my undergraduate degree from Trinity College of Music specialising in Jazz Performance.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
- I teach Classical Trumpet/cornet and specialise in Jazz, in particular improvisation.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
- I have Grade 5 theory, music GCSE and A levels and am about to graduate from Trinity College of Music with a BMUS Hons in Jazz Performance
- What kind of experience do you have?
- I have many years of experience as a player, from the age of 8 in brass bands, to Principal trumpet of the Halle Youth Orchestra, overseas tours to South Africa and America with WIgan Youth Jazz Orchestra and as a member of Manhattan school of Music Jazz Orchestra. I have been teaching for the past 5 years working with a wide range of pupils from groups of children to mature students, i enjoy teaching anyone who has the passion to learn.
- How much do you charge?
- I charge £25/ph, £15/ half an hour. I do offer a free consultation lesson and to travel anywhere in London i will only require £5 to cover the cost of a travel card.
- Where do you teach?
- I teach from my home in Charlton, at Trinity College of Music in Greenwich or can travel anywhere in zones 1 - 4 to teach in the comfort of the students home.
- When are you available?
- I can teach most days and evenings apart from wednesday.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
- I teach all ages from beginner through to advanced in preparation for auditions or exams.
- Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
- My CRB check is currently in the process.

- Where and with whom did you train?
- I trained at Manhattan School of Music in New York and Trinity College of Music in London
- Tell me about some of your current students.
- I have a couple of young boys, aged 9 and 15 both learning trumpet and jazz improvisation. I find it a lot easier to connect with younger pupils as i keep the lessons fun and don't overload them with too much work. Taking from my experience, having a much older teacher at that age didn't help or motivate me, its the most important thing when working with kids.
- Do you have a personal message for students?
- If you are passionate about music, or simply just want to give it a go i can guide you through whichever way you choose, whether its a hobby or something you want to take seriously.
