Which subject(s) do you teach?
French - all levels, both towards GCSE or A-levels as well as for professional training
Trumpet - beginner until grade 6
Theory for exams or general knowledge - until grade 5

Tell me about your qualifications.
French - native speaker
Trumpet - play in professional latin-reggae act "Casabella"
Theory - grade 5 ABSRM aged 12 (continued studying but didn't take further exams)

What kind of experience do you have?
I have been teaching privately for 3 years.
In 2009 I led workshops combining French, Music and Media in an international youth camp in Italy.

How much do you charge?
£20 per hour, I recommend 1h30 for French students as it is more productive.

Where do you teach?
Although I am flexible, I usually teach from home in Harpenden, Hertfordshire.

When are you available?
I am available at various times every day of the week, but cannot teach Sundays on a regular basis.

Which ages and levels do you teach?
All ages.
French - all levels
Trumpet - from beginner to grade 6 level
Music Theory - from beginner to grade 5 level

Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
French - GCSE, A-levels, TCF, TEF and DELF qualifications.
Trumpet - grades 1 to 6 ABRSM and Trinity Guildhall boards.
Music Theory - grades 1 to 5 ABRSM and Trinity Guildhall boards.

However, many people may want to learn for pleasure or particular non-academically driven reasons, therefore I am extremely flexible and adapt my teaching to each individual's needs and interests.

Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
Yes

Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.
I usually teach through Skype or iChat.

Do you have a personal message for students?
I very much enjoy teaching because each student is a different individual and it always requires a fresh approach to tailor lessons to their needs. Seeing them progress and develop a passion for what they are learning, whether it be a language, music or anything else is extremely gratifying. Many students have been put off by teaching methods used in schools or other institutions, so I always make sure that I teach in a fresh and exciting way. I love using new technology to teach as long as it is efficient and meet the student's needs.
