- My name is Craig Macdonald and I am a freelance musician who recently moved to Cardiff. I'm looking for pupils of all ages and abilities, in and around the South Wales region.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
- I'm primarily a French horn player, but have experience in teaching all brass, as well as up to grade 5 theory.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
- I have a BMus Honours degree with an additional peripatetic teaching qualification from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, and a MMus degree from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama
- What kind of experience do you have?
- I was deputy brass tutor for East Renfrewshire Coucil, which include teaching children on an individual and group basis. I have also tutored the brass sections of various youth orchestras, these include - Moray Schools, East Renfrewshire, Orkney, Glasgow Schools and Little Larks (youth project based in Falkirk).
- How much do you charge?
- I charge £15 for half an hour and £25 for an hour
- Where do you teach?
- I teach at home in Cardiff but can travel to places in South Wales or Bristol
- When are you available?
- As a freelance musician I am very flexible so can fit lessons to suit both parties

- At the Royal Scottish Academy I studied with David Flack (current 1st horn with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra), and Hugh Potts (former 3rd horn BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra
