- I believe in teaching my students 'self-belief' and confidence. My most successful students are those whose enthusiasm and desire to succeed have contributed to their outcomes.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
- I teach all aspects of Health and Social Care.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
- I qualified with the Amateur Rowing Association as a rowing instructor, however, my skills are transferrable to other sports and fitness regimes. I have a Cert. Ed awarded by Bolton University.
- What kind of experience do you have?
- I have fifteen years' experience of coaching health and fitness. I have seven years' experience of Health and Social Care and have been teaching health and Social Care for one year.
- How much do you charge?
- I charge £20.00 per hour with a ten per cent reduction for additonal delegates I charge 50 pence per mile to the destination and do not charge for my return journey.
- Where do you teach?
- I teach in my own home or that of the delegate. I will travel 40 miles south and north of Lancaster and 40 miles north and south of Skipton,
- When are you available?
- I teach on various days of both week and weekends by arrangement.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
- Eighteen and upwards.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
- NVQ 3 Health and Social Care.
All associated HSC subjects. - Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
- Yes I have an up-to-date Enhanced CRB disclosure certificate.
- Do you belong to any professional organisations?
- Institute for Learning.
- Where and with whom did you train?
- Bolton University, Amateur Rowing Association.
- Tell me about some of your current students.
- My current students are those whom I teach within my social care organisation. The students are prepared for supporting people both in the community and in shared living as well as residential care.
- Do you have a personal message for students?
- I believe in teaching my students 'self-belief' and 'confidence'. My most successful students are those whose enthusiasm and desire to succeed have contributed to their outcomes. Having sparked these characterisitics in my students I find the learning process follows readily.
