Which subject(s) do you teach?
I am an experienced and well qualified English Teacher. I teach English Language and Literature to help prepare students for 11+ Exams ,GCSE and A Level. I also teach English Grammar and Latin for English Baccalaureate . I offer Home Tuition , Exam Preparation and email support. I have a current CRB check and encourage parents and students to discuss any aspect of their English or Latin needs. I am also a Cambridge Celta Language teacher ,experienced in teaching ESOL and TOEFL .
I live close to Sefton Park and I teach Latin in a local school . I also offer one to one tuition to students in Liverpool and surrounding areas.

Tell me about your qualifications.
I have a first degree in English B.A.Hons. I also have a postgraduate M.A. PGCE. and a Cambridge Celta qualification.

What kind of experience do you have?
I am a Professional ,Registered Teacher with many years experience of teaching English for 11+ preparation ,GCSE and A Level . I also teach Latin for the English Baccalaureate. As well as teaching Latin in a local Catholic school , I offer one to one tuition to students who want to improve their Reading ,Writing and Communication skills . I teach English Grammar , English Language and Literature . I teach all students regardless of their ability and build up their confidence by encouraging them to value academic rigour and serious study . A love of languages will enhance your exam technique and prepare you for the University course of your choice. My own sons studied Latin with me at home and they are both enjoying their careers in Medicine and Law.I encourage my pupils to read widely to extend their vocabulary and improve their understanding of literature. I offer continuous support to my students as well as extra revision in the holidays or before exams. As well as my English Degree , I hold the Cambridge Celta Qualification which allows me to teach International English . How much do you charge?
I charge £20 -£25 per hour for local / Liverpool tuition . I charge £30 per hour if I travel outside Liverpool . I offer discounts for group lessons .

Where do you teach?
I usually teach in the student's home . I can teach also teach students in my home if students are over 18. I live close to Sefton Park on the South side of Liverpool. I mostly work in Liverpool but I can travel to : Southport ,the Wirral ,Chester and Manchester .

When are you available?
I can offer tuition during the holidays , evening and weekends.

Which ages and levels do you teach?
Upper Primary and Secondary age. Adults for Academic and Professional English.

Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
The English Baccalaureate, GCSE , A Level , IELTS and Toefl exams . Latin GCSE .

Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
My up to date C.R.B. certificate is available for parents to see. Parents can choose where lessons are held. Parents can also sit in on my lessons if they want to.

Do you belong to any professional organisations?
I am a Professional British MA Graduate and Registered Teacher . I have a PGCE. and Cambridge Celta Teaching Qualification

Leicester University, London University, Glamorgan University and Leeds Metropolitan University.

Tell me about some of your current students.
I am currently teaching Latin in a Catholic school in Liverpool. I also teach English Language ,Literature . English Grammar ,ESOL ,IELTS and Latin to a range of local pupils.
