Tell me about some of your current students.
Phoenix is a bright 7 year old. I teach her a mix of English literature (Shakespeare) and grammar and History (the Tudors, the Romans).

Archie has just taken his A-Levels. I coached him for his History paper, focusing on essay-writing technique and how to construct an argument as well as an understanding of the period (Russia 1854-1964).
Do you have a personal message for students?
I specialise in teaching History, English and Russian. My own recent experience of the Oxbridge entrance rigmarole, my degree and courses at school mean I am well-qualified when it comes to teaching exam technique and guiding the pupil through a difficult subject. I like to teach using books I have accumulated over the last ten years as well as past exam papers. A balanced overview of the technical aspects of essay-writing, textual analysis combined with gaining a good general knowledge- these are my main priorities.
